1. Your own email address

You need your own personal email address to complete an online application, as well as apply for financial aid, college, and careers.

If you have not already created your own unique, personal e-mail address, you can create one using a free service such as Gmail or Outlook.


2. A copy of your Financial Aid Student Aid Report (SAR)

Complete your CA Dream Act or FAFSA by March 2! 

We need a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR) from either the FAFSA or California Dream Act application to ensure you applied for all the financial aid you are eligible to obtain.

For the quickest processing time, we recommend you complete your FAFSA or California Dream Act online, where your application will process within 3-5 days. Alternatively, you can submit a paper application, which will process in 7-10 days. 

If you complete your FAFSA or Dream Act, upload the the Student Aid Report you receive via email as a pdf by following these steps:

  • Press "print" (usually a printer icon)
  • A menu should pop up with printer information
  • Click "save as PDF"
